Google Meet now enables a more efficient guest list where it is possible to view, for example, people who are absent from the meeting. Guests can write the reason for their absence, which will be visible to the meeting organizer below the participant's name. In a situation where an out-of-office message has not been set, the meeting organizer can send a direct Chat message to ask the willingness to participate in the meeting without opening new tabs or windows.
Important: This feature is only applicable if guests are invited through Calendar and only on a computer.
To view the Calendar guest list:
Open Google Meet.
At the bottom-right corner, click the People tab .
Optional: To send a message to a participant, click Chat .
Availability:
Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers. Not available to Google Workspace Essentials, Enterprise Essentials, Individual customers and users with personal Google Accounts.
